When the excitement of the engagement begins to fade, many brides-to-be are struck by a moment of panic—“I need to plan a wedding! Should we let Uncle Ernie take the photos or hire a professional? What are the latest color trends? Where should we hold the reception?”
The countless decisions that need to be made before you make your walk down the aisle can feel like a hike up Thumb Butte in your high heels. But it’s important to remember that planning a wedding is supposed to be fun! To help you get started on the path to planning fun, look no further than the 2017 Prescott Bridal Affaire Expo. Hosted by Hazel Bowman, Publisher and Editor of PrescottWeddings.com, the Prescott Bridal Affaire Expo is a one-stop shop for everyone looking to plan their dream wedding or event.
Hazel is what you could call a wedding guru. With more than 35 years in the industry including 10 years as a wedding consultant, Hazel knows every tip, trick, and trend out there (and a few that haven’t been discovered yet.) Recognized as an industry expert, Hazel has shared her expertise in several books, including writing a chapter “Hazel Bowman’s Bridal Countdown” in the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Organizing Your Life (2nd Edition) as well as consulting on The Everything Wedding Etiquette Book.
When Hazel moved to Prescott 20 years ago she decided to hang up her planning book and tulle and focus on bringing her knowledge and expertise to a greater audience through PrescottWeddings.com. With “everything you need to say, ‘I do’,”Hazel’s site has helped thousands plan the perfect wedding. Twelve years ago Hazel started the Prescott Bridal Affaire Expo. “This bridal expo is a place where brides-to-be can meet with vendors who can help them make their wedding dreams come true, no matter the budget, “states Hazel.
After 12 years, the event could get stale, but Hazel strives to bring the best exhibitors and experts in their field to make sure the event stays on the cutting edge of bridal trends. This year is no different. Co-hosted by the Hassayampa Inn and Verve Events & Tents, the 2017 expo features tented lounges. “Tented lounges are a growing trend from the ceremony to reception and Verve Events & Tents is setting up tented displays at the Hassayampa Inn to show the variety and flexibility tents offer,” states Hazel.
Along with Verve Events & Tents, there will be exclusive vendors who will provide complimentary expert advice and day of discounts on décor, music, flowers, gowns/formal wear, hair & makeup, photography, and venues. Plus, other area professionals who can help with different aspects of planning life after marriage, will be featured.
But don’t think you have to be a bride to attend. “This event is not just for those planning a wedding,” states Hazel. “It is for anyone who wants to find the best vendors to help them plan their upcoming event.”
The 2017 Prescott Bridal Affaire Expo is taking place on Sunday, March 5 from 10 am – 3 pm, at the historic Hassayampa Inn located at 122 East Gurley Street (corner of Gurley and Marina Streets) in downtown Prescott. “The event is taking over all of the Hassayampa Inn, inside and out. There is absolutely something for everyone,” states Hazel.
Along with the incredible array of exhibitors providing services and products, there will be an interactive fashion show, a strolling violinist, raffle drawings every 30-minutes, and a Grand Prize worth thousands of dollars just waiting to be won.
The 2017 Bridal Affaire Expo is able to take place thanks to this year’s sponsors – The Daily Courier, Prescott Woman Magazine, Lonesome Valley Newspaper, Magic 99.1 radio, and Jennifer Rice Photography. Parking and admission are free! To learn more about the event and exhibitors who will be in attendance visit http://prescottbridalaffaireexpo.com/.
