The Mountain Artists Guild

A membership based organization for artists

The Mountain Artists Guild (MAG) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1949 by Mabel Laurence and George Phippen to educate and support emerging artists.

Today, the Guild is thriving with workshops, scholarships and open studios. The goal is to nurture and encourage the development of artistic talent through practical experience. The MAG gallery is an excellent place to not only show your work, but to learn about the gallery exhibition process.

MAG is hosting the 67th version of its annual Arts & Craft Festival on Prescott’s downtown plaza with a variety of arts, crafts and foods from local and out-of-state vendors alike.

MAG is membership based, and is run by members, for members. The Guild is a strong resource for local art enthusiasts and helps connect the community with the creation of art.

Some of the programming includes: Teen Oil Painting every Saturday night; Oil Painting Wednesdays; Watercolor Thursdays; and live models on Friday. There is also Art for Youth programs throughout the year, including summer camps.
