Prescott Center for the Arts delivers performing arts that are both heartwarming and safe this season

This holiday season, Prescott Center for the Arts is excited to bring you a cheer-filled lineup.

Join us for Cabaret on our Mainstage. We’ve transformed our Mainstage to bring you the cabaret experience—complete with drinks and small plates of delicious food in support of our local restaurants—while staying safely socially distanced at your own table.

Coming up this season:

December 4–13: A Christmas Carol; An Evening with Charles Dickens, written by Greg Oliver Bodine. This solo performance of Dickens’ classic holiday story follows Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from miserliness to redemption with warmth and humor. This one-man play is based on the condensed version Dickens himself used on his historic reading tours of the United States and is adapted here to offer a unique theatrical experience. One actor. One hour!

“A most welcome Christmas present … a sincere, moving performance that set the mood for the coming holidays.” –Oyster Bay Enterprise-Pilot (NY)

“A Dickens of a good show!” –Westfield Evening News (MA)

December 17–20: A Holiday Musical Revue! Written and performed by the same talented group that brought you The Start of Something New; The We’re Back Musical Revue in November, Lights Up Entertainment.

January 14–17: Songs I’ve Always Loved. Created and performed by Sandy Vernon, an experienced actor, singer, stage technician, and music director. Join Ms. Vernon and her trio as they share an hour of beloved songs by Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Stephen Sondheim, and other great songwriters. Special guests will enliven separate nights with songs and comedy.

February 5–13: RED, written By John Logan and directed by Don Langford.  Raw and provocative, RED is a searing portrait of an artist’s ambition and vulnerability as he tries to create a definitive work for an extraordinary setting.

Come to the cabaret!

Join us for Our Christmas Family Theater Youth Fundraiser. Please join us in supporting our youth scholarship and youth programs this holiday season!  While this has been a challenging year bringing our youth programming back to our community, we are proud to present Family Theater’s hybrid live performing arts experience!

December 18: The Great Christmas Cookie Bake-Off features our amazingly talented group of community actors, both young and adult, who came together socially distanced and safely rehearsed to present to you a premiere filmed version of this sweet musical. The show combines the time-honored tradition of Christmas cookies with the ever-popular phenomenon of reality baking competitions. Enjoy the holiday cheer as the chefs learn what really makes for a winning Christmas recipe! Tickets are only $10 and all proceeds go toward supporting our youth scholarships, camps, and programming.
