Dancing for the Stars, a unique, dazzling fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs, is set for August 25-26

In the year 2017, the leadership at the Boys & Girls Clubs partnered with a local dance studio to discover a new and fantastic way to support the Clubs’ efforts in the community. They developed a way to honor our local distinguished citizens for their support and hard work to help the Clubs’ operations; a clever and fun approach to a gala that many had never seen or heard of before.
Now in its seventh season, Dancing for the Stars has grown beyond its organizers’ dreams, and they have no intentions of slowing down. As community support has grown through this event, it has risen to be one of the greatest events in the area and one of the largest fundraisers of its kind in the country.
The event’s organizers are proud to offer such a wonderful display of talent, support, and entertainment to the community, and honored to have so many in support of this movement.
Organizers hand-picked local community leaders to be event celebrities, and paired them with some of Prescott’s best dance instructors, choreographers, and all-around performers to bring sponsors and guests a night to remember as they will all perform their own individual dance pieces.
On top of all this production work, these champions for children are raising money through sponsorships, ticket sales, and voting for the big show. Dancing for the Stars is one of a kind and a true spectacle filled with glitz and glam, all for the true purpose of investing in local Boys & Girls Clubs to do whatever it takes to ensure great futures for all the community’s stars, the kids.
This year’s show returns to the big stage at the Jim and Linda Lee Performing Arts Center, Yavapai College on August 25 and 26 and the performers and organizers are ready to bring the house down. It will be a night to remember.
