Puzzle Rides Prescott offers the ultimate experience to locals and visitors alike

Puzzle Rides Prescott is the state’s only mobile escape room, offering scavenger hunt adventures on golf carts for up to ten people.

Founder Katie Dufort created the idea during the pandemic, pivoting her golf cart shuttle service to the game model for people of all ages. In the first year of launching, Katie and her head puzzle master, Shawna Rodriguez, gave more than 2,500 rides to locals and visitors.

“It’s been such a wonderful experience to turn an idea into a reality,” Katie said. “The response has been tremendous, and we are absolutely thrilled to add another layer of adventure to the town of Prescott. We’re always creating, tweaking and changing things, so our adventures are never the same and people keep coming back.”

Experiences include adult-friendly rides such as the classic Rock N’ Roll Pub Crawl and the seasonal Jingle Bar Hop that takes riders who are 21 years and older through several bars on Whiskey Row in Historic Downtown Prescott. Beverages are savored at local establishments while riders try to solve a series of clues.

“Partnering with other local businesses was at the top of my list when Puzzle Rides Prescott was being developed,” said Katie. “We now have a very unique way to get new patrons into the doors of other businesses who might otherwise never check them out.”

Puzzle Rides offers several family-friendly experiences that are suitable for kids ages five and up, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Signature favorites include Hijacked By Science, where you must stop a mad scientist from unleashing a powerful weapon; Pirate’s Treasure Adventure, where you don pirate garb and prepare to swashbuckle your way through town; and Wild West Heist where you search for loot hidden by bank robbers back in the day. Ghost Riders is offered year-round and takes you through historically haunted spots, so you get a bit of a spook and a surprising history lesson.

“We’ve even added new rides for the holiday season that I’m confident will be a hit with the whole family,” said Katie. “To say we got creative is an understatement. People will just have to try Puzzle Rides Prescott for themselves.”

Hijacked by Elves has officially launched for the holidays. On this ride, a disgruntled elf has stolen the naughty and nice list and teams must recover it and turn the little guy in!

Have a group larger than ten? Puzzle Rides offers team-building activities and pub crawls for up to 80 people!
