The Bradshaw Mountain High School Dance Team closed out a landmark inaugural season with an outstanding performance at the Arizona State Cheerleading and Pom Tournament — a fitting finale to a year defined by growth, grit, and achievement.
In its very first competitive season, the newly established program earned third place in Small Varsity Jazz and fourth place in Small Varsity Hip-Hop at the state level. For a team built from the ground up and competing together for the first time, the accomplishment speaks volumes about the dancers’ dedication and commitment.
But the impact of this team extended far beyond competition. Throughout the school year, the dancers became a vibrant part of campus culture, delivering 11 halftime performances that energized crowds and brought school spirit to life. Each performance reflected not only technical skill, but also teamwork, resilience, and pride in representing the Bears.
The season’s momentum carried well beyond Arizona. After qualifying for Nationals at Universal Dance Association summer camp, the team traveled to Orlando, Florida, to compete at the prestigious ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. There, they performed alongside top programs from across the country, gaining invaluable experience on a national stage. Competing at such a high level during their first year marked a powerful milestone and set a new standard for what’s possible in the seasons ahead.
From preseason practices to state recognition and national competition, the Bradshaw Mountain Dance Team’s debut year established a strong foundation for the future. What began as a new program quickly evolved into a team defined by discipline, heart, and unity.
Head Coach Sasha Naasz expressed immense pride in the dancers’ determination and growth throughout the year. Building a competitive program from scratch is no small task, yet the team embraced the challenge and exceeded expectations. With the support of the school community and the momentum of a successful first season, Coach Naasz looks forward to continuing to strengthen and expand the program in the coming years.
For students inspired by the team’s success, opportunities to join are just around the corner. Future Freshman Night will take place February 25, offering prospective dancers the chance to meet Coach Naasz and learn more about the program. A Tryout Clinic and Auditions are scheduled for April 8–10, with additional details to be announced. Questions may be directed to sasha@themovementstudiopv.com.
With state titles earned, national experience gained, and a growing legacy already in motion, Bradshaw Mountain Dance is only getting started.
Go Bears!
