2025 Prescott Woman Award Honorees
This is the first in a series highlighting all the 2025 recipients.
Each year, the Prescott Woman Awards spotlight exceptional women who lead with integrity, impact, and innovation across their respective fields. These awards are more than recognition—they are a celebration of those who shape our community with purpose and passion. This year’s recipients—Sadie Sarti, Kendall Fenn, and Sheri Nelson—represent excellence in professional achievement, resilience, and STEM education.
Sadie Sarti — The PRO Award Recipient
The PRO Award honors a woman who demonstrates outstanding professionalism and leadership in her field while serving as a mentor and advocate for others. This year’s recipient, Sadie Sarti, exemplifies what it means to be a modern creative leader.
As the owner and lead designer at Sadie Sarti Design Co., Sadie has been a cornerstone of the Prescott creative economy since 2007. Her agency has developed high-profile digital and branding projects—such as the websites for the City of Prescott and the World’s Oldest Rodeo—that rival the work of national firms. With a refined blend of artistic vision and strategic function, Sadie elevates local brands and helps small businesses thrive.
Beyond her design work, Sadie is deeply embedded in the community. She provides mentorship and professional opportunities for local creatives and currently serves on the Prescott Downtown Partnership board, contributing her talents to civic marketing and downtown events.
Her commitment to excellence, support for local enterprise, and drive to build a vibrant creative industry have made Sadie not just a design professional, but a community catalyst.
Kendall Fenn — Rosie the Riveter Award Recipient
The Rosie the Riveter Award celebrates a woman whose hands-on work, tenacity, and often unsung contributions keep industries and communities moving forward. It is a tribute to women working in nontraditional or labor-intensive fields, and few embody this spirit more than Kendall Fenn.
Based in Dewey, Kendall is a nationally respected horseback riding instructor, equine breeder, and sales professional. Throughout her career, she has rehomed more than 1,000 horses, many of whom were rescued or in need of care. She works with more than 60 children every week, instilling in them not only riding skills but also compassion, discipline, and confidence.
Kendall is the only breeder of Chilean horses in the United States, and her program for Marchador horses is also highly respected. She devotes both her time and personal resources to equine welfare, rescue efforts, and youth mentorship, making her a pillar in both the animal care and rural youth communities.
While her work is physically demanding and rarely in the spotlight, Kendall’s profound impact is evident in every horse she saves and every child she mentors. Her legacy is built not only on what she does, but also on how tirelessly and generously she does it.
Sheri Nelson — STEAM Award Recipient
The STEAM Award recognizes women who lead in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics, particularly those who inspire the next generation. This year, Sheri Nelson stands out as a passionate educator and trailblazer in the field of chemistry education.
Sheri is currently the Science Department Chair and teaches Honors and AP Chemistry at Prescott High School. She has spent the past decade igniting curiosity and confidence in young scientists. Sheri holds a degree in Chemistry and Secondary Science Education. Before transitioning into teaching, Sheri worked as a chemist in the semiconductor industry and was employed by Pepperdine University.
Her real-world experience enriches her classroom instruction, helping students grasp complex scientific concepts through hands-on learning. Outside the classroom, Sheri offers tutoring, supports school events, and is an active member of the Prescott community. She is also a devoted mother of three who balances family life with a dedication to student success.
Through her intellect, patience, and enthusiasm, Sheri is shaping the future of science, one student at a time.
“This award is a profound honor and a reminder of why I do what I do. I get tremendous joy interacting with the youth of Prescott. Not just sharing scientific knowledge, but building curiosity, confidence, and confirming that their ideas and voices matter.”
