Tucked just a few blocks away from downtown Prescott, LazyG Brewhouse has been a favorite for locals and visitors seeking craft beer, good food, and relaxed vibes. Now, under the progressive vision of owners Jim and Jean-Marie Bellington, LazyG is entering an exciting new chapter—one that continues its blend of live music, community spirit, and even a place to stay the night.

“This summer, we made that experience even more memorable by way of expanding our concept of craft and comfort,” said Jean-Marie.

The big news? In early July, LazyG unveiled its brand-new “bed-and-brew” lodging. Think cozy comfort via trendy accommodations just steps from the taproom. “It’s always been about creating an experience, not just a brewery. Having stayed in similar accommodations in the U.S., the charm and location of the LazyG Bed & Brew on Leroux Street was just what we were looking for,” she added.

In addition to the new lodging, the summer season continued their concert series with an expanded live music lineup every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Music will continue through the end of September, featuring local and regional acts from bluegrass to funk to Americana. The outdoor stage, paired with string lights, local brews conveniently poured from its authentic and historic tap-trailer, and signature eats like the Grilled Cheese of the Day, makes for that memorable Prescott cuisine and all-around hometown experience.

“Music is a connector,” said Jean-Marie. “We want people to come together, dance a little, stay awhile, and really feel at home.”

That sense of hospitality and progress is everywhere you look at the LazyG.  Since its opening, the brewery has completed upgrades to its outdoor space for games, added new shaded seating, and launched seasonal beer collaborations.  Added Jean-Marie, “The brewery has also added two 20-bbl fermenters and a 20-bbl Brite tank to keep up with customer demand for beers.”

Jean-Marie, a trailblazer in Prescott’s craft brewing scene, believes strongly in collaboration, sustainability, and staying true to Prescott’s small-town charm. In May, she was honored at the Prescott Woman Awards as the Feeding the Soul recipient—an award that recognizes individuals in the food and beverage industry hallmarked by contributions and service.

Jean-Marie said, “Creating and giving back to the community is very important for the LazyG Brewhouse, and being recognized for it was genuinely an honor.”

LazyG Brewhouse opened in 2019, and despite the challenges of the pandemic, it’s grown steadily into one of Prescott’s most beloved destinations. “What I love about this town is how people show up for each other,” Jean-Marie said. “LazyG is really just an extension of that spirit.”

So, whether you’re sipping one of your favorite beers, swaying to live music, or checking in for a weekend getaway at the new LazyG Bed & Brew, one thing is certain: LazyG is always brewing something special in Prescott.

Fun Fact: At the time of publication and by the end of summer, LazyG Brewhouse will have poured roughly 900,000 beers and served up over a million slices of bacon!
