Prescott native Sarah White built Skin by Sarah from the ground up, creating a space where women can feel confident while pursuing her own path as an entrepreneur
For Sarah White, helping women feel good about themselves is at the heart of her business.
As the owner and licensed esthetician behind Skin by Sarah, she has turned her passion for skincare into a business of her own—one built on confidence, connection, persistence, and the belief that women are stronger when they support one another.
A Prescott-area native, Sarah was born and raised in Arizona. Building her business here means creating something in the same community she has always called home.
Her journey into entrepreneurship has been both exciting and challenging. One of the accomplishments Sarah is most proud of is putting together her own esthetician studio and taking the leap into business ownership.
Creating the physical space was only part of the process. Like many new business owners, Sarah also faced the challenge of establishing herself and building a loyal clientele.
In an area filled with talented estheticians, she knew she needed to work hard to create her own place in the industry. Rather than allowing the competition to discourage her, Sarah has used it as motivation to keep growing, connecting, and developing her business.
That experience has also shaped the way she views leadership.
For Sarah, strong women leaders are those who believe in “building and uplifting one another instead of tearing each other down.”
It is a philosophy she carries into both her business and her involvement in the local community. Sarah regularly attends business mixers, giving her opportunities to meet other professionals, build relationships, and stay connected to what is happening throughout the area.
At Skin by Sarah, that spirit of encouragement translates directly into Sarah’s work with her clients. Her goal extends beyond skincare; she wants the women who walk through her doors to leave feeling more confident in themselves.
Sarah is also continuing to find creative ways to expand the experience she offers. One project she is especially excited about is a collaboration with Revitalize Ketamine Clinic to offer IV infusions alongside her facials, bringing together skincare and wellness services in a unique way.
Although building a business has brought plenty of rewarding moments, Sarah doesn’t sugarcoat what entrepreneurship requires.
Her advice to other women considering starting a business or stepping into a leadership role is to expect moments that feel uncomfortable.
“It’s going to be very hard, scary, and intimidating,” she said, “but you can’t let it tear you down and must persist.”
That persistence has helped Sarah move from dreaming about having her own studio to actually creating it—and continues to push her toward what comes next.
And skincare isn’t her only creative outlet.
Something clients and fellow business owners may be surprised to learn about Sarah is that she is also a singer and songwriter, adding another dimension to the creativity and determination behind the entrepreneur.
Whether she is helping a client feel refreshed and confident, connecting with fellow business owners, developing a new collaboration, or writing music, Sarah continues to build a life and career rooted in creativity and connection.
Her story is also a reminder that leadership doesn’t always begin with a title or a perfectly mapped-out plan. Sometimes, it begins with the willingness to take a chance on yourself, create something of your own, and keep going even when the path feels intimidating.
For Sarah, that leap of faith became Skin by Sarah—and she is just getting started.
