For Shannon Ault, leadership starts at home — quite literally.
As the owner of Pristine Spaces Cleaning, Shannon has built more than a successful business. She has built a company rooted in peace, purpose, and the belief that the environment we live in shapes the quality of our lives. For her, a clean home isn’t about perfection — it’s about creating space to breathe.
“The atmosphere of your home sets the tone for your entire life,” Shannon shares. “Walking through your front door should bring peace, not stress.”
That belief inspired her to step into entrepreneurship and launch Pristine Spaces Cleaning just two years ago. Since then, her company has grown into a thriving operation serving hundreds of local clients and employing a team of 8–12 people, depending on the season.
Rooted in Arizona, Built for Community
Arizona has always been home for Shannon and her family. Though her husband’s 22-year military career took them across the country, Prescott remained the place they always planned to return to. When they returned after his retirement, Shannon knew it was the right moment to rebuild — and grow — her business in a community that values relationships and supports local entrepreneurs.
“Our roots are here,” she says. “This community is exactly where small businesses can truly thrive.”
Creating Calm, One Home at a Time
The impact of Pristine Spaces Cleaning extends far beyond spotless kitchens and organized living rooms. Shannon and her team serve busy professionals, retirees, parents, new moms, and individuals with health limitations — people who need support maintaining a clean, stress-free environment.
“A clean home isn’t a luxury,” Shannon explains. “It’s foundational to mental clarity, physical health, and peace of mind.”
By taking cleaning off their clients’ plates, her team gives people back something priceless: time, calm, and confidence.
Leadership from the Ground Up
Shannon credits her leadership style to being “in the trenches.” From cleaning alongside her team to handling challenges in real time, she believes true leadership comes from example, not expectation.
That hands-on approach has helped her build a business known for professionalism and consistency in an industry where both can be difficult to maintain. She’s especially proud of cultivating a positive work culture with structure, training, and support — while growing the company to six-figure revenue in a short time.
To Shannon, strong women leaders share a common thread: resilience paired with compassion.
“We know when to push, when to pause, and how to bring out the best in people,” she says.
Looking Ahead — and Standing Tall
As Pristine Spaces Cleaning continues to grow, Shannon is focused on expansion in the coming year — doubling her client base, bringing more employees onto the team, and continuing to raise the bar for professional cleaning in Prescott.
Her advice to other women pursuing leadership or entrepreneurship?
“Do it. Don’t wait for the perfect moment — it doesn’t exist. Build something that impacts people, stay true to your values, and don’t be afraid to take up space. You’re capable of more than you think.”
And if there’s one thing people might not expect? Behind the business owner and leader is a woman who loves drama and skits — a creative outlet that lets her bring humor, performance, and flair into everyday life.
Because leadership, like life, is best when it’s both meaningful and a little fun.
