Polara Health expands programs to provide accessible, compassionate, whole-person care

By Deanna Eder, Director of Marketing & Communications at Polara Health

Reflecting on 2023, it is easy to see the incredible positive impact Polara Health has had on the community. Through the dedication of our staff and our exceptional services, we have helped more than 8,000 people.

“Our mission has always been to provide accessible, compassionate whole-person care that strengthens our community,” said Tamara Player, Polara Health’s CEO. “This mission isn’t just a slogan, it’s a driving force that propels us forward each day. It is because of our unwavering commitment to our mission that we have been able to achieve remarkable results.”

The support and care Polara Health provides to individuals and families in times of need is a lifeline. This organization has brought hope and healing to those who are struggling and borne witness to countless success stories where lives have been transformed.

The impact does not stop at the doors of the 13 different facilities in Yavapai County. Polara Health is deeply involved in the community, working hand in hand with local organizations, schools, and the larger healthcare system to address the broader factors that influence mental health. Polara Health’s community partners have become essential allies in the journey to make lasting positive changes.

At Polara Health, we know now is the time to recommit to ensuring access to high-quality, sustainable care and to remain firm in our vision where healthcare needs are met for all. We know that irrespective of socioeconomic background, race, gender, and ethnicity, all lives are somehow impacted by mental health and/or substance use challenges. We also know that less-than-optimal environments, mental health, and spiritual health manifest in physical health.

Polara Health is thrilled to announce that in direct response to the growing needs of our community, we are taking steps to expand our services even further. By broadening our services, we will be better equipped to meet the diverse needs of those we service; reaching more individuals, families, and groups who require our expertise and care.

In April 2023, The Healing Place opened in Prescott to support those needing in-patient services.  The new behavioral hospital contains 24 beds, with natural light and an outdoor courtyard. The Healing Place is a welcoming atmosphere for our clients on their journey to wellness. Polara Health’s Integrated Care Clinic will open at the end of 2023 and will serve our adult outpatient clients. Finally, in cooperation with the Yavapai Justice Department and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, we are opening the Connections Center next door to the new Criminal Justice Center on Prescott Lakes Parkway, to serve those in a mental health crisis and who are potentially eligible for involuntary pre-arrest evaluation and treatment, deflecting this population from the criminal justice system altogether.

Polara Health wishes to thank our community for helping us to make real and lasting differences in the lives of those we touch. Together, we are saving lives, enhancing well-being, and building a healthier future.
