In a field where strength, compassion, and resilience must coexist, Jodi Mullins has built a career defined by service, perseverance, and a deep commitment to her community. As the Police Community Services Supervisor for the Prescott Valley Police Department, Jodi brings decades of experience and a heart for helping others into every aspect of her work.
Jodi’s journey in law enforcement began in 1989 with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where she served as a deputy sheriff. Inspired by a desire to protect and advocate for those who could not help themselves, she embraced a career that demanded both courage and compassion. After a career-ending injury in 2004, Jodi didn’t step away from service—she adapted. Transitioning into a civilian role as a background investigator, she continued to support the field she loved.
Her path eventually led her to Prescott Valley, Arizona, a community she and her family had long admired. Drawn by its strong values and welcoming spirit, Jodi knew it was the right place to build both her life and her career. Watching her young son connect with others in such a positive environment only reinforced that decision.
Today, Jodi plays a vital role in strengthening community trust and safety. Through her work, she educates residents on fraud prevention, supports victims, and trains others to serve the community effectively. She also conducts background investigations, helping ensure that the next generation of officers is prepared to serve with integrity. For Jodi, one of her greatest accomplishments is watching those recruits graduate from the academy, knowing she played a part in shaping the future of law enforcement.
Her leadership style is rooted in qualities she believes women naturally embody: resilience, compassion, and the ability to see potential in others. Having worked in law enforcement during a time when women were underrepresented, Jodi understands firsthand the challenges of earning respect in a male-dominated field. That experience shaped her into a leader who is both self-aware and unwavering in her standards.
Beyond her professional role, Jodi remains deeply connected to her community. Whether attending local events or simply engaging in meaningful conversations, she believes that many challenges can be solved through connection and understanding.
Looking ahead, Jodi is especially excited about launching the Dog Walker Watch program—an initiative that blends community engagement with safety awareness, all while incorporating one of her favorite things: dogs. As the only program of its kind in the Quad Cities area, it represents her continued commitment to innovative, community-focused policing.
For women pursuing leadership, Jodi offers clear and powerful advice: never give up on your dreams, and protect your reputation. In a world where visibility is constant, integrity and accountability matter more than ever.
And while her career has been rooted in service here at home, there’s another side to Jodi that many may not expect—she has a deep love for Irish culture and dreams of one day spending time living in Ireland.
Through every chapter of her journey, Jodi Mullins exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose, adapt with strength, and serve with heart.
