Unforgettable Rodeo Experiences
Prescott Frontier Days®, Inc. – World’s Oldest Rodeo® is gearing up for its 137th year of thrilling rodeo action. Featuring an array of talented rodeo acts and performances brought together by top contractors nationwide, this event promises excellent family-friendly entertainment. In Prescott, Arizona, the rodeo spans seven consecutive days from July 1 to July 7, with two performances scheduled for Saturday, July 6.

For fitness guru Blayne Soriano, a love of spin class was all it took to forge the pathway to launching a new career. Owner of Ten27 CrossFit® and the private chef business Meals by Blayne Soriano in Prescott, Blayne made it her mission to practice what she preaches through nutrition and exercise.

It probably isn’t a surprise to many Prescottonians that most classroom teachers spend their own personal money on necessary classroom supplies like writing paper, file folders, notebooks, envelopes, pencil sharpeners, pencils, pens, highlighters, crayons, glue sticks, markers, calculators, clipboards, erasers, and essentials like hand soap, Band-Aids, and Kleenex. Some teachers even purchase snacks for their students. Someone outside the education system may believe the school district should supply many of the items teachers purchase. Unfortunately, due to a slim state education budget, that’s just not feasible.

From Crisis to Stability
In the winter of 2007, Prescott Area Women’s Shelter (now Prescott Area Shelter Services) opened in the basement of Hillside Church following many community conversations regarding a potential need for an emergency drop-in shelter for women and children.

A Fighter from the Start
Mechelle Saravo’s family knew she was a fighter from the start. Born premature, Mechelle required five surgeries on her legs between her third and fourth birthdays. Even with heavy casts on both legs, Mechelle would commando crawl throughout her home in Tucson.
