Arlene Hardy

Arlene is thrilled and honored to be considered as a nominee for the Makers Award with these amazing women.  She is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Yavapai Youth Choirs as well as the Founder/Artistic Director of Una Voce Women’s Choir.  Arlene also has a private voice studio in the community.  It is through these vocal and choral experiences that Arlene works to foster leadership, accomplishment, self-worth, teamwork and pride through music.  In her choirs, value is placed on what can be achieved together as well as develop an understanding that each individual is supported, and in turn, that they support others.  Arlene, and her directors, guide their singers to embrace each other’s uniqueness and strengths to help expand our world view and accept diversity.  She works to promote a personal and communal sense of pride by striving for excellence in everything they do.  Arlene provides a vibrant community within her choirs and helps them to experience joy in all they do and give.  Arlene, and her husband Russel, have lived in Prescott for 27 years where they have been blessed to work and raise their three children.
