Owner of Purple Clover shares her love of downtown Prescott

Prescott Woman Magazine sat down with Michelle Beck, owner of Purple Clover and a member of the Prescott Downtown Partnership (PDP), to find out what she enjoys most about living and working in Prescott.

PWM: How long have you been a member of the Prescott Downtown Partnership?

Michelle: Purple Clover has been a member of the PDP since September of 2018.

PWM:  Tell me a little about what brought you and your business to Prescott.

Michelle: When my family and I moved into Bashford Courts we felt it was essential to join this group. I have been in Prescott since 2003. My husband had a great job opportunity and we felt that it was the right time to move our family to Prescott. The two of us are from the Midwest and Prescott had that wonderful hometown feel with a much better climate!

PWM:  What makes the PDP different from other organizations in the area, and what do you personally enjoy most about being part of the PDP group?

Michelle: What makes PDP so special is the emphasis on all things downtown. The beautiful baskets that make the square special and the support for the Courthouse lighting was very important to us.

PWM: Do you have family here?

Michelle: Our sons are still in Arizona.  We love that we can see them frequently and they love that they were able to grow up in Prescott.

PWM: How are you involved in the community?

Michelle: My husband and I are very active in the Prescott community. Dan was a participant and judge with Dancing for the Stars and I’m active with American Lutheran Church.

PWM: Do you work downtown and what do you like best about that?

Michelle: I love working downtown at Bashford Courts and look forward to all the changes that Bashford Courts will have in the future! New restaurants and new retail businesses are coming in early 2024.

PWM:  What else do you want to add that people might not know about you, or what you do/offer?

Michelle: I would love to encourage our locals to stop in Purple Clover and see everything we have to offer. The majority of our sales come from tourists visiting Prescott. We would love to have more of a local presence in our store. Stop in and see us; you will not regret it.
