Events at Lynx Creek Farm … a Family Business Making Dreams Come True

With its top-of-the-line amenities and customizable offerings, Lynx Creek Farm checks all the boxes when it comes to wedding venues. Its family-centric vibe, though, makes it magical.

Events at Lynx Creek Farm has the quiet charm of a rustic, country setting overlooking Lynx Creek … and the convenience of being just a short distance from Highway 69.

This is truly a family-run business: owners Greg and Wendy Temple began hosting weddings at their property in 2018. Their oldest son, Grant, and his high school sweetheart, Sofia, wanted to get married, but couldn’t find exactly the right spot.

He realized he wanted to get married on the farm where he grew up.

That set into motion a series of events transforming their family property into an event venue: they added cement paths, paver patios, turf, and arches. The result: a picturesque, secluded outdoor space for couples to say, “I do.”

This lovely, romantic spot offers the perfect setting to eat, drink, mingle, and dance.

Events at Lynx Creek Farms Two-Day Package

A two-day package includes three properties for the happy couple and their friends and family to stay in and use as they like throughout the weekend: a large Log Cabin that sleeps 12; a cute Casita that sleeps four; and a dreamy Cottage on the Creek for the happy couple to start their new life. There are also five hot tubs.

Everyone—the wedding couple, the wedding party, and any other family or friends—arrives Friday afternoon to start setting up and rehearse for the Saturday wedding. Saturday morning, everyone gathers to set up for the afternoon ceremony.

Because Lynx Creek Farm is an outdoor venue, the wedding season takes place May–October.

The Details

Event pricing includes tables, chairs, and tablecloths (thanks to Moore Party Rentals). Also available: the Surely Temple Bar, the dessert table, a photo booth, and any other surprises the wedding couple arranges for guests. After the celebration is over, the music is turned down and most of the guests have left, the wedding couple can relax under the stars around the fire pit or walk back to their accommodations. Sunday morning, there is plenty of time to clean up and prepare for the honeymoon.

The wedding couple must provide food and drink (think food trucks, margarita machines, and champagne toasts), music (whether that’s a DJ or a live band), a photographer, and the officiant.

Raphael, Greg and Wendy’s daughter, takes the wheel as the in-house wedding and event coordinator. She can arrange for a creative photoshoot down at the creek (and, there are is an abundance of settings for beautiful pictures with views, lighting, ivy, and unique background textures), partner massages, and facials. And, if couples are looking for a memorable way to spend quality time with their friends and family members, they can add on activities like group yoga, movie nights under the stars, poker and casino games, beer/wine/cigar tasting or a game night.

The Temple Family will make sure every couple’s special day goes off without a hitch. They will oversee the parking of cars, light the outdoor fire pit, empty the trash cans, and help with the carefully planned timeline for all the events (no one wants to forget to cut the cake!).

Additional lodging, stores and services are close by. And, if a couple chooses the perfect date, a full moon will rise over Mingus Mountain right after the toasts are finished. Consider everything that Events at Lynx Creek Farm has to offer, for a dream-come-true wedding.
