In a world that often asks women to follow a prescribed path, Jenny Rose Harlow has built a life rooted in creativity, compassion, and courage. As an art teacher and farm manager of a rescue farm, she has woven together her passions for animals, art, and human connection into something truly meaningful—both for herself and for the Prescott community she now calls home.

Jenny Rose’s journey is deeply personal. Drawn to Arizona by a desire to be closer to her parents in Prescott Valley, she saw an opportunity not just to relocate, but to reimagine her life. As a single woman, she set out to create a space where she could independently own and operate both a rescue farm and an art studio. That vision has since blossomed into a sanctuary for others.

Her studio and farm serve as more than just creative and agricultural spaces—they are places of restoration. Visitors are welcomed into an environment designed for learning, growth, and celebration. Whether it’s through hands-on art experiences, time spent with animals, or simply being in a peaceful setting, Jenny Rose has intentionally created a haven where people can reconnect with themselves and others.

At the heart of her leadership is a belief in qualities that nurture both strength and softness: presence, kindness, resilience, determination, empathy, passion, and drive. These values are not just words to her—they are practices she lives out daily in her work and relationships.

One of her proudest accomplishments is sustaining a full-time art business for 16 years. Early on, she was often questioned about the practicality of an art degree. Her response was simple yet powerful: she would use it to change the world. Today, she does exactly that—one student at a time—by inspiring creativity and confidence in those she teaches.

But her path hasn’t been without challenges. Moving from Oregon, where she had already established a successful business, to a new town meant starting over. Building trust, finding her community, and helping others understand the value of her work required persistence and faith. In a smaller town, that process came with unexpected hurdles—but it also shaped her into the leader she is today.

Jenny Rose remains deeply connected to her community through both her work and her service. She opens her home and farm to visitors six days a week by appointment, offering a welcoming space for individuals and groups alike. She has provided permanent placement for 25 rescue and rehomed animals, partners with local organizations as a foster for dogs, and contributes her talents as a live painter at Heights Church. Her support extends to foster and adoptive families, as well as mothers seeking meaningful activities for their children, through weekend workshops, retreats, summer camps, and homeschool programs that combine art, animals, and gardening.

Her advice to other women pursuing leadership or entrepreneurship is both grounded and inspiring: start with the gifts you’ve been given. The impact you’re meant to make may begin as small seeds—but with care, intention, and persistence, those seeds can grow into a life of purpose.

Looking ahead, Jenny Rose is especially excited about expanding her women’s workshops at the farm and preparing for a vibrant summer camp season. She is also working on a deeply personal art series titled Women of Worth—a collection of life-size portraits celebrating women who are stepping boldly into transformative life journeys.

And if her life already sounds adventurous, there’s more. In one of her most unconventional chapters, Jenny Rose traveled across America in an ice cream truck, live painting her way through 13 states with 55 shows in just 60 days. It’s a story that perfectly reflects her spirit—bold, creative, and anything but ordinary.

Through every brushstroke, every rescued animal, and every person she welcomes into her space, Jenny Rose Harlow is leading with heart—and proving that a life built on passion can create ripples far beyond what we imagine.
