Carrie Brumbaugh Director of Marketing & Publicity, Miss Yavapai County Scholarship Organization
With a firsthand understanding of the decisions some people must make between working and attending college, Carrie Brumbaugh’s passion is in helping others reach their educational goals.
Years ago, Carrie’s health problems forced her to drop out of college so she could work full-time and obtain health insurance. She later went back to school and in 2012 achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the New England College of Business and Finance.
A Midwest girl, born and raised in Ohio, Carrie moved to Prescott in 2014 to settle down with her husband, Gage. After years of working in manufacturing, Prescott offered Carrie a change of pace—the ability to pursue a career in the Financial Services Industry.
Because of her own experiences, Carrie decided to become involved in the Miss Yavapai County Scholarship Organization and its mission to help young women achieve their educational goals with college scholarships. As the Director of Marketing & Publicity for the organization, Carrie is tasked with brand recognition and awareness of this Prescott-based non-profit. Miss Yavapai County is a local preliminary competition to the Miss America Organization. The aim: to develop well-rounded, confident young women who are ready to succeed in today’s world.
“There are no paid positions in the organization so we really are a very passionate group,” said Carrie. The Miss Yavapai County Scholarship Organization is looking for sponsors/donors and volunteers to help with the success of the organization as well as contestants for the February 16, 2019 competition held at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott.
