Trisha Shaffer

Event Photographer, Prescott Area Young Professionals
Owner, Aris Affairs Photography

Trisha Shaffer, owner of Aris Affairs Photography in Prescott Arizona, has always loved using a camera to capture moments. She’s a fourth-generation Arizonan with deep family roots in Tempe and Prescott, and since childhood, she’s cultivated a love of family history, music, writing … and, of course, photography.

Capturing moments is one of her favorite things, whether it is a waterfall flowing off a cliff at the base of a volcano or a child spinning around while enjoying music at a wedding reception.

Growing up, one of her favorite pastimes during the summer was to buy a disposable underwater camera and take pictures with her friends while cooling off in the pool. She also loved dressing up her kid brother and making him pose for her. After graduating from Prescott High School with a letter in Choir, she lived in Costa Rica, where she photographed many beautiful landscapes before returning to Prescott in 2009.

In 2002, she began her career as a professional videographer and filmmaker, specializing in weddings, maternity, and creative children’s sessions. While weddings are a standout for Trisha, she enjoys capturing all smiles, no matter the event or niche. One of her more recent creative adventures is to make a child the main character in his or her own story, and she looks forward to doing more of these sessions in the future. She also loves and looks forward to fall mini sessions and pictures with Santa.

Trisha is now married with five children, including two step children.

Aside from her love of photography, Trisha also enjoys writing music and children’s stories. She has won awards for her musical talents as well as a first-place award in a juried art show though PCA, the only contest she has ever entered for her photography.
Trisha is the photographer for Prescott Area Young Professionals. She’s the staff photographer for Prescott Woman Magazine, and contributes to Lifestyles Magazine as well.

Joining the new class of the Prescott Area Leadership program, she is excited to get to know the community on a deeper level and learn how she can contribute her services as a photographer to make a positive impact locally and statewide. It is her motto, and the motto of Aris Affairs Photography, to capture moments and create heirlooms!
