Festival of Trees: Where designer trees and wreaths await … benefitting the Heritage Park Zoological Society
Skip the decorating and impress your holiday guests by purchasing a one-of-a-kind tree or wreath that can be delivered to your door. Festival of Trees Prescott is celebrating its 7th year of kicking off the holiday season in Arizona’s Christmas City, Wednesday, November 20 through Saturday, November 23.
During this holiday favorite, local businesses come together to create a beautifully decorated forest of Christmas trees and wreaths that are then sold to the public. This event is held at the beautiful and historic Sam Hill Warehouse in downtown Prescott.
“The quality of the trees the businesses and designers are putting out is magical” said Tahna Falk, the Festival’s producer.
Each year, the Festival of Trees Prescott chooses a different local nonprofit to receive the net proceeds from this event. This year, the recipient is the community’s beloved Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary (HPZS).
HPZS plays a vital role in the rescue, rehabilitation, conservation, and educational efforts for wildlife. In addition to the animals that have residency at the zoo, HPZS rescues more than 400 animals each year. They receive no outside government funding and rely solely on funds collected from admission sales, programs, tours, events, and donations.
“Winter is our most critical time of year at the Sanctuary and this event will help us through that time,” said Raquel Luna Gardner, HPZS Deputy Director.
The Festival’s mission is simple: to create a holiday experience for all to enjoy while raising money and awareness for different nonprofit heroes in our community. By decorating a tree or wreath, attending the event, buying a tree or wreath, entering to win a raffle prize and more, each person’s involvement is a contribution that makes a lasting difference at a local level.
This fun-filled week starts with a Jingle Mingle night from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, November 20. This fun and festive, adult-only, cocktail-attire evening, offers the first chance to view the trees and wreaths, vote on your favorites, and purchase one for your home or business. Enjoy networking and mingling, holiday cocktails, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and live auctions, and learn more about this year’s chosen beneficiary.
General Admission days are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday November 21–23. Attendees can sthop the trees and wreaths, vote for their favorites, visit with Santa, enjoy live entertainment, and participate in raffles, craft ornament making, the holiday selfie station, and so much more.
Mark your calendars for November 20–23 and join in on the magic of the holidays at Festival of Trees Prescott.
