Vibrant Prescott, Arizona frontier and  ranching  history  lives and  breathes in the life of the 5th generation Prescott business owner,  Sherree Cook, of “COWGIRL LEATHER”

Born in Prescott, and a resident thereof, Sherree hails  from a long line of prominent figures in  the area’s  dusty and difficult,  but fascinating  chronicle that can  be explored  in the  pages of  “Echoes of the Past, Tales of Old Yavapai in Arizona” by the Yavapai Cowbelles.

Ms. Cook, a perennial volunteer at the Prescott Rodeo and the Arizona  Cowboy Poets Gathering,  has been no stranger  to horses, cattle, feedlots, and ranching for much of her days. She was reared  in  American  founding traditions  by her well-respected, gentleman cowboy father, Fred Cook, who  won  the  all-around  award  at the 1946 Prescott Rodeo.

Fred’s father,  Jim Cook,  married into  Prescott’s famous  Miller family by “hitchin’ up” with Leroy (Roll) Miller’s daughter, Serilda (Lilly) Miller. Roll Miller was the son of the  early Skull Valley rancher, Jake Miller, who, in the 1870’s, operated an essential freight and mining/ranch  equipment supply business in Prescott  initially taking  up residence  with the Sam Miller family in, of course,  Miller Valley and, you  guessed it, on Miller Valley Road.

Coupled with gun handling knowledge, Sherree Cook rounded-up  her quality  seamstress  and  design  skills to establish ìCOWGIRL LEATHERî in 2016  for  breeding a  thoroughbred line of unique, Top Gun, Western style, designer   concealed   carry  (CCW) purses for quality-conscious  women professionally  trained in proper fire-arms safety and handling who desire the  best in efficient  protection  and stylish fashion in CCW  apparel.
