Glorious Bursts of Color and Lush Green Abundance
Wendy and her husband Greg started offering weddings and other events on their 30-acre property four years ago (their son Grant and his bride Sofia were the first to get married there).
Hosting events at Lynx Creek Farm is a family affair. Wendy and Greg live on the property, and their daughter Raphael is the day-of coordinator.
Between events, the trio works to constantly beautify the property, adding color and depth to its wide-open views.

Prescott is gearing up for a milestone celebration as Prescott Frontier Days®, Inc. – The World’s Oldest Rodeo® – returns for its 139th year. The 2026 rodeo promises to be an unforgettable Independence Week event, honoring America’s spirit with the theme: “Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom.”

Setting Students Up for High School Success
Michelle Hoop is the sole Counselor for Academic Achievement and Support serving all 553 students in grades seven and eight at Prescott Unified School District’s (PUSD) Mile High School. She said recently that she combats any challenges by making a priority of “seeing the students with the highest needs.”

The war in Ukraine has been stirring up memories for Mai Nguyen.
The impending North Vietnamese military invasion of South Vietnam forced Mai’s family to flee to the United States in 1975 when Mai was six years old, and she’s never returned. Vietnam has been a socialist republic controlled by communists ever since.

A New Beginning for A Remarkable Company
Yavapai Exceptional Industries (YEI!) is a remarkable company. A non-profit agency that helps local adults with developmental disabilities and provides them with support for job training, volunteer placement, and employment, its staff has grown from 12 to 45.
Ring in the New Year!
After making the Whiskey Row New Year’s Eve Boot Drop a virtual event in 2021, planners of this year’s event — the eleventh annual — are ready to help folks mark the start of 2022 in a big way—in person. Revelers can join the celebration from 8 p.m. Friday, December 31 through 12:30 a.m. January 1 on Montezuma Street downtown. The event, which will feature “boot drops” at 10 p.m. and midnight, is free to all ages, and event promoters encourage safe celebrating at this outdoor event.
Making a Difference for Those Battling Breast Cancer
Trails 4 Tatas (T4T) is so much more than just a fundraiser. It is a dedicated group of off-roading volunteers being supported by an amazingly giving community, who are making a significant difference in the lives of those battling breast cancer in Yavapai County.
The Summit 4×4 Club and Girls Tribe started raising money for the Baskin Breast Care Center at YRMC in 2019. The first event was a small auction of donated items, and it raised about $1,500. How things have changed! In 2023 alone, T4T raised almost $60,000.
