Telling the stories that shape our community.

Prescott Woman Magazine is Northern Arizona’s premier women-focused media platform, dedicated to celebrating the voices, stories, and impact of the Prescott Quad Cities. What began as a lifestyle magazine has evolved into a dynamic, digital-forward brand rooted in storytelling, connection, and community uplift.

We spotlight the women who lead, create, serve, and inspire — entrepreneurs, artists, educators, advocates, and changemakers whose work shapes the place we call home. Through powerful profiles, thoughtful features, and meaningful conversations, we go beyond the surface to share stories that matter.

Today, our storytelling lives across multiple platforms. Through the She Spark Podcast, we amplify real conversations around leadership, purpose, growth, and connection. Through the Prescott Woman Awards, we honor women whose courage, compassion, and contributions make a lasting difference. And through Portraits with Purpose, we combine storytelling and service, using photography to give back and uplift local nonprofits.

More than a magazine, Prescott Woman is a movement — a trusted platform for women’s voices, a connector of community, and a catalyst for positive change. We believe stories have power, visibility creates opportunity, and when women rise, communities thrive.

Join us as we continue to celebrate Prescott — digitally, boldly, and with heart — one story, one spark, and one woman at a time.

‘A Satisfying Experience’

“Why would you not make it beautiful?” she said during a recent interview. “You want to enjoy the experience.”

“It always starts with the macarons,” she said, adding that her business growth started when people began ordering add-ons. “Once people find out you do something with food, they want all the food.”

A Book Recommendation: “Parent Nation” by Dr. Dana Suskind

A Book Recommendation: “Parent Nation” by Dr. Dana Suskind

“I just finished ‘Parent Nation’ by Dr. Dana Suskind. Folks, this is it. It beautifully articulates why we, as a nation, must support parents. If we want to promote child wellbeing and prevent child abuse, we need to support parents. If we want economic prosperity, we need to support parents. If we want a healthy nation, we need to support parents.

The book outlines why and how the U.S. doesn’t have things like paid parental leave and affordable quality childcare, and why that needs to change. In the name of preventing government overreach, we’ve left U.S. parents with nothing but bad options.

White Mountains Fall Foliage

White Mountains Fall Foliage

The spectacular aspen stands in the White Mountains offer a wonderful day trip in search of fall foliage. Thousands of new aspens have sprung up from the devastation of the 2011 Wallow wildfire, Arizona’s largest at 538,000 acres. These thick aspen stands are now 10-20 feet tall as they emerge amid the blackened stumps of mixed conifer near mature forestlands that survived the flames.

The mountains of Arizona are famous for easy-care roses. Because of the dry air and alkaline soils, we grow a better, brighter, more fragrant rose without the disease and insect issues that plague gardens in high-humidity states. Every garden deserves at least one rose bush, whether in the ground, a raised bed, or a container.

Recoating Your Decks

Recoating Your Decks

In addition to great weather, this community is home to beautiful forest and mountains.  That being said, many residents enjoy a deck (or even two or three) as part of their outdoor living space. So if your home is built on anything other than a flat lot (likely), you probably have a deck. That means you have one of the most labor-intensive aspects of your home’s exterior maintenance: a deck top. Why? Because the finishes simply do not last a long time.  If you’re lucky enough to have composite decking, this article may bore you.
