Dancing Through the Ages
The Boys & Girls Clubs are experts in fun. Everything we do has fun in it and that includes our annual gala in support of our work. Dancing for the Stars is a performance-based gala event that you don’t want to miss. Now in its eighth year, Dancing has risen to be a treasure to our community. In the vein of the popular TV show, local celebrities have been called upon to raise funds for our kids and their adventures. In addition to raising money for the kids, our celebrities, along with their professional dancer partners, will dazzle and thank our donors with a jaw dropping performance for all our guests.

Surprising Edible Perennials
Recent rains have brought on an explosion of flowering perennials. The moist soil and cool temperatures make for excellent planting conditions, not only for large specimen trees, shrubs, and evergreens, but for perennials, too.
The last frost of May signals the start of the summer vegetable gardens, while June is when the most stunning perennial flowers start blooming. Surprisingly, several summer perennials are pretty and produce a harvest of edible goodness.
She’s Got Heart!
Dr. Moualla joined YRMC’s James Family Heart Center in 2017 to oversee the Structural Heart Program, which had started the previous year. Among her first major initiatives: the expansion of the Heart Center’s successful Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Program. Dr. Moualla also helped implement processes to identify patients with valvular heart disease early and expedite the delivery of state-of-the-art treatment by the heart team. All of this, she said, was accomplished with the collaboration of the cardiothoracic surgical team, other cardiologists, primary care physicians, and inpatient hospitalists.
