16th Annual Prescott Highland Games and Celtic Faire Scheduled for September 25–26

Welcome back to the celebration!  It’s time for the 16th Annual Prescott Highland Games & Celtic Faire!  Gather your family and friends to join the fun on September 25–26 at scenic Watson Lake Park, also known as “Loch Watson.”

Don your kilt and start the day by joining your clan in the Clan March led by our local Prescott Post of the Scottish American Military Society Color Guard and the Southwest Skye Pipe and Drums.  This Calling of Clans is the beginning of the opening ceremony with our Guest of honor, Chief Richard McBain of McBain.

Plan ahead for a whisky tastin’ and seminar, a not-to-be-missed event. Learn why there is no “e” in whisky (or maybe you would prefer to visit the beer tent and sample a variety of beers).

Kids young and old will want to watch for Ian McNessie aka “Nessie” wandering the field.  Ask him how he navigates out of water.  The wee ones will love the Children’s Glen too.

Listen to Celtic music by the Wicked Tinkers and Spirited Lads on the Main Stage.  Don’t miss the Highland Dance competitions, strolling bagpipes, and massed bands with bagpipes and drums.  We’re hoping to have sheep herding dog demonstrations again this year, too.

And of course, traditional athletic competitions will keep everyone entertained all day. There are several class levels open to men and women, Novice to World Champion. Don’t miss the caber toss!

Join us Sunday at 9:30 am for the Kirkin’ of the Tartan, a clergy-led blessing on all tartans and clans.

Shop the Market Vendors while dining from your newest favorite Food Vendors. Live KPPV radio remote on Saturday. Genealogical tent.  Educational Reenactors and Scottish Clan & Tartan information center.  Dogs are welcome (when leashed as per City of Prescott).

First Aid and Arizona Rangers on site. Free ATM and parking. Shuttles available.

This is just a small sampling of what you can expect when you join us; we’re planning much, much more for the friendly Highland Games!

Learn more and purchase tickets in advance at www.PrescottHighlandGames.com. Tickets are also available at the gate.
