What is CYMPO?
The Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization (CYMPO) is an essential collaboration between Chino Valley, the City of Prescott, the Town of Dewey-Humboldt, the Town of Prescott Valley, Yavapai County, and the Arizona Department of Transportation. Formed in June 2003, when the region’s population reached 50,000, CYMPO plays a crucial role in cooperatively planning the transportation future of the Central Yavapai region. The area spans 401.46 square miles of the MPO Planning Boundary. CYMPO is committed to developing a multi-modal transportation system that caters to all needs, including roads and highways, public transit, and pathways for bicycles and pedestrians.
