Local Realtor® Strives for Excellence in Everything She Does in Her New Hometown
Prescott Woman Magazine interviewed Jen Group, Realtor® with Iannelli and Associates, the Leslie Jacobs Real Estate Team, and Prescott Chamber of Commerce members. We learned about how much she values the vitality of Prescott and how much she contributes to it.
PWM: How long have you been a Prescott Chamber of Commerce member?
Jen: My team and I became Prescott Chamber of Commerce members last fall. We are so excited to be a part of this fantastic organization.
PWM: Tell us about what brought you to Prescott and your employment role.
Jen: My husband took a position with his family’s supplement company here in Arizona at the end of 2017. He was ready to make a change. And honestly, so was I. Moving to Arizona was exciting. After being a stay-at-home mom and owning a small business selling handmade items for several years, I decided to try my hand at real estate. I met Leslie Jacobs through Bill Iannelli in 2021; the rest is history. My position as a realtor has evolved. It’s been so thrilling, and I genuinely love it.
PWM: What about the Prescott Chamber? Is it different from other organizations in the area, and what do you enjoy best about being part of it?
Jen: The Prescott Chamber is incredible; you genuinely feel part of a family. You have a team of people who are truly invested in this outstanding town, which shows in everything they do. I’ve seen the interaction between the Chamber and our local community; failing with them on your side would be difficult.
PWM: Do you serve in any additional roles within the Chamber?
Jen: If there is anything that the Chamber asks me to do, they’ll always get a “yes” from me. I will be there if I can physically make it to any event or activity. It is the least I can do in return for all they have done for us. Their support is crucial for the life and vitality of Prescott, and it’s a privilege to be an extra set of hands to aid the Chamber in their endeavors for our community.
PWM: Do you have family here? Children? Other activities in which you participate?
Jen: My family and I moved here without knowing a soul. I still had three children at home at the time. One is still in high school, and the other is in college. We also have one sweet miniature goldendoodle named Josie, who we are really into. Our family is very close, and we try to do things together as much as possible. We all love to do road trips together; it’s always the highlight of my year. My husband and I like to hike together as much as possible. As for my kids, we encourage them to participate in all their interests. It certainly keeps us busy!
PWM: How are you involved in the community?
Jen: We meet a lot of people in our line of business. It requires an incredible amount of networking and building personal relationships. I enjoy volunteering for the local church and just put in a volunteer application at The Center on Rosser, another organization that we are personally invested in.
PWM: What else do you want to add that people might need to learn about you or what you do or offer?
Jen: I was born and raised in Texas, and Prescott reminds me so much of what it was like growing up there.
I’ve always chosen ways to spend my time that fostered meaningful and lasting connections with others. I started a small Etsy shop in 2013, and many unexpected friendships resulted from that endeavor, which made my life much more prosperous. I agree with the Leslie Jacobs Real Estate Team and the Prescott Chamber of Commerce. I am so delighted to serve in both of these ventures. I’m only one person, but as long as I’m here, I will do all I can to strive for excellence in everything. I honestly believe that the best is yet to come.
