Prescott Valley’s professional indoor football team announces the members of the 2021 dance team, headed up by local entrepreneur Lexe Niekamp

The NAZ Wranglers, Prescott Valley’s professional indoor football team, are excited to introduce the Mustangs Dance Team, a dynamic group comprising local dancers and headed up by Prescottonian and owner of Lessons by Lexie Dance Studio, Lexe Niekamp.
“Our dance team has come together and practiced many hours,” Lexe said, “and we are looking forward to working with our community to grow the NAZ Wranglers fan base, and make this experience entertaining, interactive and fun!”
In addition to Lexe, Squad Dance Team Coach, members include:
Sabrina Padilla, Delilah Juarez, Yamilet Caraveo, Arizema Pineda, and Katheryn McKnight, all from Prescott Valley, and Nolan Sturdevant-Moylan, from Cordes Lakes, who served as a judge and whose audition earned him the role of mascot.
Last fall, the NAZ Wranglers selected Lexe Niekamp, owner of Lessons by Lexe Dance Studio, as the NAZ Wranglers Dance Team Coach. The team accepted applications through December, and in January, they held auditions for local dancers. Judges included Breeanya Hinkel, publisher of Prescott Woman Magazine; Marnie Uhl, President of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce; Chris Medlock, owner of the NAZ Wranglers; and Nolan Sturdevant-Moylan, an instructor at Lessons by Lexe.

Lexe opened her dance studio five years ago at age nineteen, “as an outlet for anyone and everyone to come and just be themselves through the art expression of dance.” She’s also passionate about finding opportunities to give back to the community, and Lessons by Lexe received the Daily Courier Readers’ Choice award in 2020.
Coaching the Wranglers’ Mustangs Dance team is a natural fit for Lexe, who said she’s excited to use the joy of dance to enhance the experience of indoor football fans. “We can’t wait to see you at the games!”
