We are Tracy and Jeremiah Scheffer, the Prescott-based husband-and-wife photography team behind Blushing Cactus Photography.
Our life’s mantra: “Do what you love, master your craft, and invest in the lives of those around you”.
To us, photography is much more than just taking pictures – it’s about building relationships and being part of meaningful moments in the lives of others. We work together to capture the energy and excitement of weddings and large-scale events (live music, rodeo, professional football, theatre).
We feel incredibly fortunate to live our dream together as photographers. When two people who love each other also work together, there is an extra dimension not often found in regular business partnerships. We inspire one another to always provide our best, most creative work. We are two unique individuals who bring our own strengths and ideas to each project – it’s one of the many reasons we love working together. Our clients receive the perfect blend of creative, timeless, and detailed images that will document their story from beginning to end.
When it comes to wedding photography, we consider it an honor to take part in someone’s big day and share in their excitement as it unfolds. We often say that “love knows love”, so as a married team we provide a perspective that comes from the heart and can relate to what the couple is feeling. We are a fun-loving, relaxed couple and here to cheer on our clients, and help them feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. We create friendships and provide an unforgettable experience that extends beyond the wedding day and continues as they grow together to build a family.
Any event we photograph, whether it’s a wedding, concert, sporting event, or even a portrait session, is a story made up of hundreds of moments waiting to be documented. Moments like a teary-eyed groom seeing his bride for the first time, a musician captivating a crowd, a bull rider praying behind the chutes, or an event attendee accepting a special award. Whatever the occasion, we strive to capture images that stir emotion and share the energy of an event as if you were there yourself.
Even greater than the joy we get from telling the story of someone’s wedding day or covering a weeklong rodeo, our mission for this business is to continuously give back to our community. We work alongside a number of local and national non-profits. There is a real need to have compelling images that raise awareness for each cause, and relates to their audience as they continue to gain support and keep doing the great work they are doing for our communities.
