Telling the stories that shape our community.

Prescott Woman Magazine is Northern Arizona’s premier women-focused media platform, dedicated to celebrating the voices, stories, and impact of the Prescott Quad Cities. What began as a lifestyle magazine has evolved into a dynamic, digital-forward brand rooted in storytelling, connection, and community uplift.

We spotlight the women who lead, create, serve, and inspire — entrepreneurs, artists, educators, advocates, and changemakers whose work shapes the place we call home. Through powerful profiles, thoughtful features, and meaningful conversations, we go beyond the surface to share stories that matter.

Today, our storytelling lives across multiple platforms. Through the She Spark Podcast, we amplify real conversations around leadership, purpose, growth, and connection. Through the Prescott Woman Awards, we honor women whose courage, compassion, and contributions make a lasting difference. And through Portraits with Purpose, we combine storytelling and service, using photography to give back and uplift local nonprofits.

More than a magazine, Prescott Woman is a movement — a trusted platform for women’s voices, a connector of community, and a catalyst for positive change. We believe stories have power, visibility creates opportunity, and when women rise, communities thrive.

Join us as we continue to celebrate Prescott — digitally, boldly, and with heart — one story, one spark, and one woman at a time.

Pour on the Beauty

If you’re accustomed to the Prescott Basin’s backcountry roads, which are chock full of rocks and bumps and inclines, experiencing the seemingly endless smooth, flat unpaved roads that crisscross the vast Kaibab Plateau feels like a dream. This forested island rises abruptly above the Grand Canyon to an elevation of 9,200 feet. “Kaibab” is appropriately a Paiute word meaning “mountain lying down.”

Living Poetry

Living Poetry

It’s not hard to love the ambiance and tranquility of a thriving garden. The scents and sounds of nature have a way of easing our hearts and minds. Fresh herbs and flowers, a bird’s song, and breath of the trees combine to convey what it’s like when nature speaks. I love the smell of freshly turned compost! A healthy soil is rich in minerals and is a pillar in the art of Permaculture.

Bill Mollison and David Holmgren co-developed Permaculture in the 1970s as a holistic collaboration between humans and nature, one that harmonizes rather than imposing upon. The approach aligns with the inherent intelligence of nature’s patterns, from the macro to the micro.

The Power to Heal: Taking Back Control of Your Care

In December 2023, Tim McGhee finally listened to his wife. The changes he made as a result transformed his life. Now, he’s using what he learned to transform the health and lives of others through Legendary Total Wellness & Longevity Spa in Prescott Valley.

After serving for 12 years in the U.S. Airforce, plus five years in the reserves, Tim worked as a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Administration. He earned several advanced degrees and became a Nurse Practitioner, working in the VA’s emergency department and eventually opening his own primary care practice.

By October 2022, he weighed 297 pounds and relied on oxygen more than half the time thanks to COVID-related bi-lateral pneumonia eight months before. He also had several diseases related to his time in the military.

“I realized if I didn’t do something myself, change my lifestyle,” he said, “I’d end up dying before I retired.”
