The Daily Courier has stood the test of time, serving the Prescott-area community for more than 140 years, thanks to a “hyper-local” focus and a steadfast commitment to high-quality journalism.
Even while adhering to traditional news principles, the Courier’s parent company, Western News&Info, Inc. (WNI), has remained on the forefront in the corporate world. At WNI, women hold seven of the eight highest-ranking positions. In the U.S. in 2024, men held most high-level positions, ranging from 63 percent of director positions to 71 percent of C-suite positions (leanin.org).

The beauty of Prescott’s pine-covered landscapes will come to life on canvas this summer as Yavapai College’s Prescott Art Gallery presents Art in the Pines: The 7th Annual Prescott Plein Air Festival, Aug. 26–30 at the Prescott Campus Gallery, the Richard Marcusen Sculpture Garden and selected scenic locations around Prescott and Yavapai County.

As the owner of Prescott House Cleaning, Tiffany’s journey into entrepreneurship is rooted in grit and passion. Just a few years ago, she was balancing a full-time 8-to-5 job while cleaning her church at night and taking on Airbnb clients on weekends. Days off were nonexistent. The pace was relentless, but so was her drive.

From Library Days to Life Lessons
When Patti Indelicato first met six-year-old Chloe at Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters in Prescott, neither of them could have imagined the bond they’d grow over the next eight years. Now 14, Chloe is a thriving, ambitious teen with dreams of joining the military and a passion for music. And by her side through it all has been Patti—her Big Sister, mentor, and trusted friend.

Festival of Trees Prescott is celebrating its 7th year of kicking off the holiday season in Arizona’s Christmas City, Wednesday, November 20 through Saturday, November 23.
During this holiday favorite, local businesses come together to create a beautifully decorated forest of Christmas trees and wreaths that are then sold to the public. This event is held at the beautiful and historic Sam Hill Warehouse in downtown Prescott.
The Power to Heal: Taking Back Control of Your Care
In December 2023, Tim McGhee finally listened to his wife. The changes he made as a result transformed his life. Now, he’s using what he learned to transform the health and lives of others through Legendary Total Wellness & Longevity Spa in Prescott Valley.
After serving for 12 years in the U.S. Airforce, plus five years in the reserves, Tim worked as a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Administration. He earned several advanced degrees and became a Nurse Practitioner, working in the VA’s emergency department and eventually opening his own primary care practice.
By October 2022, he weighed 297 pounds and relied on oxygen more than half the time thanks to COVID-related bi-lateral pneumonia eight months before. He also had several diseases related to his time in the military.
“I realized if I didn’t do something myself, change my lifestyle,” he said, “I’d end up dying before I retired.”
Jessica Lynn MacLean – 2022
Growing up, Jessica Lynn MacLean rode dirt bikes around the Bradshaws where her relatives once built cabins. Now she writes and watches wildlife from a small Prescott deck with her husband and rescue dog. Jessica expanded on letters and articles to create her first book, Arizona Rain: Adventures in Life, Love, and Loss that Span Generations (1922-1974), which features 101 photographs.
