Prescott Woman Magazine is Northern Arizona’s premier women-focused media platform, dedicated to celebrating the voices, stories, and impact of the Prescott Quad Cities. What began as a lifestyle magazine has evolved into a dynamic, digital-forward brand rooted in storytelling, connection, and community uplift.
We spotlight the women who lead, create, serve, and inspire — entrepreneurs, artists, educators, advocates, and changemakers whose work shapes the place we call home. Through powerful profiles, thoughtful features, and meaningful conversations, we go beyond the surface to share stories that matter.
Today, our storytelling lives across multiple platforms. Through the She Spark Podcast, we amplify real conversations around leadership, purpose, growth, and connection. Through the Prescott Woman Awards, we honor women whose courage, compassion, and contributions make a lasting difference. And through Portraits with Purpose, we combine storytelling and service, using photography to give back and uplift local nonprofits.

Leaving the World a Better Place
As a longtime educator, Dr. Wills believes her final assignment—as President of Yavapai College—is a wonderful capstone to her career (she’s set to retire in December).
Personally and professionally, her seven years at Yavapai College have given her the opportunity to carry out what she believes is her responsibility: to make the society she lives in more vibrant. If the comments of some of her faculty and staff members are any indication, she’s succeeded.
It Takes a Village
Every year in Prescott, the Daily Courier honors the best of the area’s businesses through its Readers’ Choice Awards. Most of those businesses are nominated by the owners, their friends, or their colleagues, and then voted on by their patrons. The awards are an opportunity to highlight businesses and recognize them for their work. They’re also fun, and they have inspired us at The Launch Pad Teen Center to ask the question: Who do teens consider the best?
The Prescott Area Teen Choice Awards is an opportunity for teens to nominate and vote on businesses, coaches, teachers, nonprofit organizations, restaurants, resource officers, parks, churches, community leaders and others they consider youth advocates. Award recipients will be honored at a community wide event at the Hazeltine Theatre on the evening of April 12.

A Strong Sense of Community & Collaboration
Prescott Woman Magazine interviewed Sadie Sarti, owner of Sadie Sarti Design Co. and member of the Prescott Downtown Partnership. We learned about how much she values downtown Prescott’s strong sense of community and collaboration.
‘A family campus’
College savings is the main reason Rachel chose AAEC over other schools; it’s unusual because it directly pays community college tuition for its students. Every AAEC student earns at least 17 college credits, and some graduate from high school with associate degrees. AAEC pays Yavapai College (YC) $100,000 to $150,000 annually for its students, said Andrea Popejoy, AAEC registrar and executive assistant. This year’s AAEC graduates have been awarded more than $950,000 in scholarships, Andrea added.

Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation and partner agencies advocate and support youth in foster care
Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation (YKFKF) staff and other community partner agencies find that the opportunities to help vulnerable foster youth seem endless. We offer a variety of programs designed to meet their needs in several key, often-neglected areas. From the recently opened Family Visitation Center to the other eight progams provided to our communities, we see positive changes in children impacted by difficulties during times of family separation.

Preventing Broken Bones
JoAnn spends every weekend possible hiking. She’s trekked the Grand Canyon five times and has explored hiking trails throughout Arizona. That’s why she was surprised when a bone density scan revealed she had osteoporosis, a condition that causes bone loss and can lead to fractures.
“I was running, hiking, walking, and eating high-calcium foods and I still had bone loss,” she said.
