Arlene Hardy

Arlene is thrilled and honored to be considered a nominee for the Makers Award with these fantastic women. She is the Artistic Director and Founder of Yavapai Youth Choirs. Driven by a deep passion for music and working with children, her mission goes beyond musical excellence—she focuses on building confidence, self-worth, and respect through the teamwork inherent in choral singing. Arlene creates an atmosphere of belonging where students form meaningful friendships and develop a strong sense of community. She encourages students to respect others’ talents and perspectives, fostering both personal growth and teamwork. Arlene’s choirs actively give back to the community, performing at local charity events like the Festival of Trees, and will be hosting benefit concerts for various causes. She strives to cultivate compassionate, responsible citizens who positively impact the world. In addition to YYC, Arlene founded and directs Una Voce Women’s Choir and maintains a busy private voice studio.
