Dr. Melinda Martin is the longest-practicing female physician board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Prescott, Arizona.
“When I was six years old, I found out my grandmother had been a doctor. That’s when I realized women could be physicians, and I knew that’s what I wanted to be. Since I’ve always loved babies, it was no surprise that I loved OB. While in med school, I enjoyed surgery as well. Coupled with my love for developing relationships with my patients, Ob/Gyn was a perfect fit for me,” Dr. Martin says. “My philosophy is to provide the highest level of excellence in healthcare in a warm and caring environment.”
While Dr. Martin is well-known for obstetrics and gynecology, she has recently incorporated three new treatments into her practice: MonaLisa Touch, truSculpt iD, and Secret RF in response to a need she was seeing in patients to help address certain conditions that can’t be treated with common modalities.
“I saw so many women who had concerns about their bodies—including skin issues, their shape, and discomfort. They were going through treatments (like liposuction or CoolSculpt) that were not yielding the desired results, and some were experiencing long-term problems from those treatments. That technology includes a CO2 laser and a micro-needling device and a body contouring device, both of which utilize radio-frequency. All medical-grade pieces of equipment, they go far beyond similar services someone might receive in a non-medical spa.
MonaLisa Touch: Vaginal dryness or discomfort frequently occurs after childbirth and/or menopause. This CO2 laser procedure provides relief without pain or hormone therapy. According to Dr. Martin, more than 90 percent of women who have undergone this treatment have had excellent results. Not only did they report improvement with pain and lubrication, but also with incontinence. It also has helped many with Lichen Sclerosis, a skin condition that affects many post-menopausal women.
truSculpt iD: This radio-frequency device is the latest technology for body contouring and is FDA approved for up to 24 percent fat reduction with each treatment.
“The results have been impressive,” Dr. Martin says. “There is minimal to no discomfort and it treats areas where other types of treatments have fallen short.”
Secret RF: Skin remodeling from the inside out, this procedure improves signs of aging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.
“I’ve been pleased with the results I’ve seen in my patients, both men, and women,” Dr. Martin says.
