Prescott Woman Magazine chatted with Angela Johnson, Sales/Marketing Director at The Hampton Inn, to find out what makes her enjoy being a part of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce and how it benefits her business.
‘We Were So Grateful’
The war in Ukraine has been stirring up memories for Mai Nguyen.
The impending North Vietnamese military invasion of South Vietnam forced Mai’s family to flee to the United States in 1975 when Mai was six years old, and she’s never returned. Vietnam has been a socialist republic controlled by communists ever since.
But you won’t hear Mai lamenting her life’s path.
The Heartbeat of Every Business
No matter the medium, I love telling stories. The goal of connecting with others and communicating an overall vision and purpose is something I experience deep in my bones. When it comes to cultivating a brand, envisioning its message is a listener’s study in piecing together values and narrative so that a powerful mission statement or value proposition emerges. Making these ideas stand out also requires creativity.
A Stress-Free Holiday Season … Is That Possible?
Now let’s skip ahead to December. It’s chilly and crisp during the day and the evenings are filled with cozy fires and marshmallows bobbing up and down in hot chocolate, in giant ceramic mugs. The holidays are in full effect, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or any other type of gathering. Invites to spend time with family and friends are coming in the mail. While it’s always nice to be invited, it’s often hard to know what to bring for the hosts (and it’s impolite to show up to a house empty-handed). Happy, Healthy, Safe, and Loved
These lucky seniors are provided everything they need to live a healthy, happy life. This year, Dogtree Pines has taken in more than forty senior dogs from various sources, primarily high-kill shelters, all of which were high risk due to age, health, or mental state. A few have been adopted out but the majority that makes it to the pines are there to stay.
When these seniors arrive, a veterinarian evaluates their medical needs and creates a healthcare plan, including scheduling veterinary care as needed. Dogtree Pines staff feed these homemade nutritious food, supplements, and medications as needed.

Jess had premenstrual migraines, debilitating fatigue, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, near-constant body aches, and weight gain which were all devastating her quality of life. Together we discovered that her blood sugar was unstable, which drove fatigue, and that she had problems processing estrogen, which caused cyclical inflammation that made migraines and body pain blow up and also worsened her Hashimoto’s.

Kat Richards and Trevor Jurgens have poured as much creativity into making their house a home as they do into their other endeavors. As a result, their ranch-style property in Prescott Valley showcases an eclectic blend of old and new, color and texture, while also reflecting their values, interests, and personalities.
