The Freshest Trends
Most people are familiar with the “garden window,” a deep window box, usually behind the sink (for access to water). These windows are usually single pane glass, aluminum framed, and hard as heck to reach. They often leak, and in the winter months, they do little to protect fragile plants from the cold. So which plants are best to grow in the kitchen, and how do we best plan for them?

To help welcome spring here is some helpful advice from Josh Crothers of Prescott Landscape Professionals: “As we thaw out from winter conditions and move into the warmer days of spring, you’ll want to be sure your plants get the nourishment and water they now require,” he said. “Once the weather has warmed, you can increase your water and safely trim back frostbitten material.”

Charming Sophistication
[Featured Venue] The Holiday Ballroom fills the space that was once the Grand Saloon and Restaurant, in the early 1900s (it was the last building to fill in after the fire of 1900). That history is part of what gives the room its unique character: authentic advertisements are still painted on the brick walls (which were the exterior walls of the building next door), and the hatch marks on the brick, which builders created to help the plaster stick, are still visible.
