Local Professional loves Prescott’s people most of all … and its mountains, trees, and fresh air

Prescott Woman Magazine chatted with Karen Weisser, Massage Envy’s Director of Operations for Northern Arizona, to find out what makes her enjoy Prescott and everything it offers.

PWM: How long have you lived in Prescott?

Karen: I was born and raised in Prescott. I have moved away several times, but this is home, and I always seem to be coming back.

PWM: Why did you choose Prescott as your home?

Karen: I have continued returning to Prescott because I love our area. Having lived here my whole life, I still appreciate the beauty of the mountains, trees, and clean air! I also love our small-town feel and strong, supportive community.

PWM: What’s your occupation?

Karen: I am the Director of Operations for Massage Envy Northern Arizona. I oversee our Prescott and Flagstaff locations. In my position, I am responsible for the business’s success and supporting our excellent staff so we can help the local community better their lives through massage therapy and skincare.

PWM: Do you have any kids?

Karen: I have two boys, 12 and 17 years old, who keep me busy! I also have a farm of fur and feather babies that talk back less.

PWM: What is your favorite thing about living in the Prescott area?

Karen: The people and the community, followed by our unique surroundings, are the mountains and trees. We also have the most stunning sunsets and sunrises over Granite Mountain!

PWM: How do you think Prescott enhances your occupation and hobbies?

Karen: The people of Prescott enhance my occupation. I love working at Massage Envy because it allows me to be part of the community and offer exceptional services.

PWM: Are you working on anything new or exciting for the upcoming year?

Karen: Yes! My main focus for the upcoming year is to get the word out about our phenomenal skincare services. Most people know that Massage Envy offers massages. Still, many people need to learn about our advanced skincare services, which cater to the individual who would appreciate a hydrating facial, to the more discerning client looking for microderm infusion and peels.

PWM: If you could contribute to anything in the Prescott area, what would it be and why?

Karen: I would like to offer more activities for our kids. I loved and miss Castle Golf; we had go carts, bumper boats, a huge arcade, and other fun stuff. I wish my kids could have grown up in the Prescott area when I did because it was very different.
