The right extra touches tie it all together, ensuring the outside matches the inside
Do you ever get tired of looking through your closet, trying to figure out what to wear or how to you wear what your idea is?
Well, this, my ladies, is written with you in mind.
I don’t know about you, but I am still trying to figure out who I am and what I am about … and how that all ties in with what I put on every morning. Goodness, what a daunting task! Owning a women’s clothing store, adds even more pressure—pressure I put on myself and that related to other people’s expectations (whether that’s real or imaginary!).
This spring, I have been focusing on being “The Package”: making sure my inside matches up with my outside.
In other words, being The Package means taking care of yourself spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Diet, exercise, and having a life mentor will help you make the changes need to create and live a happy life.
But, the being The Package also includes taking care of your exterior.
Have you ever gotten dressed, and then stood in front of your mirror and thought, “Something just doesn’t look right?”
Well, you’re right: it’s missing something. That something is the little extra touches like the wrapping on a gift—the touches that tie The Package together.
When it comes to finishing off your outfit—your Package—it helps to understand a little more about your wardrobe personality.
Here is a short list of basic wardrobe personality tips to get you started.
If you’re a dramatic wardrobe personality, you like a little more flair and pizzaz. Add pops of color or chunky jewelry to the mix.
If you’re a sporty or natural wardrobe personality, you’re a no-fuss, no-muss kind of girl who prefers to throw on a t-shirt and jeans. Add some simple earrings and a necklace and some colored lip-gloss, and you’re good to go.
If you’re a romantic wardrobe personality, consider flowing layers and scarves with bauble jewelry—but make sure to keep it soft or you’ll feel overdone.
Finally, if you’re a classic wardrobe personality, you’ll want to keep it simple and clean … not too little and not too much. Pearls are always a classic girl’s best friend.
