Local Entrepreneur Strives to Offer Services Beyond Conventional Wellness

Prescott Woman Magazine interviewed Sara Martin, owner of Cashmere Day Spa & Wellness Center and member of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce. We learned about how she considers the Chamber a community … and loves it!

PWM: For how long have you been a member of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce?

Sara: I have been with the Chamber for three years.

PWM: Tell us about what brought you to Prescott Valley and the role you are in as far as employment.

Sara: In 1994 I moved here from Wisconsin with my family. I eventually met my husband and then we raised our family in Prescott Valley. I am the owner of Cashmere Day Spa & Wellness Center, a comprehensive wellness facility in Prescott Valley. We offer a wide range of services to cater to various aspects of health and beauty.

Here’s a detailed description of what we provide:

Hair services, nail care, skin care, body treatments, massage, wellness services, body exfoliations, body contouring services, micro needling with RF, Subnovii Plasma Therapy, HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound), natural pain relief, holistic health, weight loss, Dutch testing (DUTCH Hormone Test), and thermography.

Overall, Cashmere Day Spa & Wellness Center is a comprehensive facility catering to a wide range of client needs and preferences. Its offerings are aimed at promoting a sense of relaxation and well-being.

PWM: What about the Prescott Valley Chamber is different from other organizations in the area, and what do you personally enjoy best about being part of it?

Sara: What I feel sets the Prescott Valley Chamber apart from the other organizations in the area is its local focus on the community’s needs, businesses, and economic development. The Chamber tailors its programs to address the unique challenges and opportunities in Prescott Valley. The Chamber actively engages with the local community through events, networking opportunities, and initiatives that foster collaboration between businesses and residents.

The Prescott Valley Chamber also offers unique educational programs, training opportunities, and services that help businesses and support their growth. The Chamber also has strong community partnerships with other local organizations, schools, government entities, and nonprofits.

PWM: What do you enjoy best about being a part of the Chamber?

Sara: Everything! The chamber is more than just a business to business; it is a business to community. From the yearly clean-up to the scholarships for students they give back to help the community thrive. To even be a small portion of that is an incredible honor.

PWM: Do you serve in any additional roles within the Chamber?

Sara: I am a Chamber advocate for sure. I tell all my business-owner friends that they need to get involved! I have sat on the nominating committee for the board and occasionally attend ribbon cutting ceremonies as well.

PWM: Do you have family here? Children? Other activities in which you participate?

Sara: Having been here for such a long time I have raised my family, and my youngest son still resides in Prescott Valley. I have three grandchildren, twin boys who are 20 months old and a six-month-old granddaughter. Activities I like to enjoy here in Prescott Valley are the car shows, the rodeo, and of course all of the wonderful holiday festivities.

PWM: How are you involved in the community?

Sara: In 2016 we started with the Yavapai Food Bank backpack drive and offered free haircuts to not only the students but to the entire families. We have continued to do this every year now. We support the local Kiwanis Auction each year, the Annual Coat/Blanket drive in October and November as well as food drives, and for Christmas we do Toys for Tots. In July, I offer $99 Breast Thermography scans through October for Breast Cancer awareness as well as donating to breast cancer groups in the local area.

PWM: What else do you want to add that people might not know about you or what you do or offer?

Sara: At Cashmere Day Spa & Wellness, I offer a unique and multifaceted approach to health and well-being, guided by a wealth of credentials and expertise. I hold a Ph.D. in theology with a focus on Christian Counseling, alongside qualifications from institutions in holistic health, naturopathy, and addiction counseling.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Cosmetologist, Ecclesiastical Holistic Practitioner, Board Certified Ayurveda Practitioner, Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, chronic pain practitioner, and Master Nutritionist, I can guarantee that our services extend beyond conventional wellness practices. Our approach is rooted in the belief that true restoration begins from within.
