Holidays in Prescott
'Tis the Season! Celebrate the holidays.A Magical Forest Wonderland… for a Great Cause
The annual Festival of Trees Prescott is a forest wonderland of beautifully decorated holiday trees and wreaths, which are up for auction … and it’s for a great cause.
This community event, which takes place this year from November 16–19 at the Sam Hill Warehouse in Prescott, benefits Prescott Area Shelter Services (PASS).
‘Eat, Drink, and Be Merry’
Organizers of Prescott’s annual holiday attractions have added a new event for 2022. Inspired by a centuries-old European tradition, Prescott’s inagural Christmas Village & Christkindl Market will feature holiday gift items from more than 20 local vendors, German-style foods, a beer and mulled wine garden, a carousel, live Christmas music, visits with Santa, and horse-drawn carriage rides around the beautifully lit Courthouse Plaza. The event will be open Friday and Saturday, December 16 and 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on West Goodwin Street in downtown Prescott. Admission is free.
Artsy Magic
What started out as just-for-fun artwork on Instagram, “The Artsy Blonde” gained a number of followers, including a Phoenix-based mother-daughter team in search of an illustrator for their book. “Princess Pippa & The Crown of Kindness” is a sweet story about a little girl who believes lipstick makes her beautiful. Throughout the book, she learns that a heart of gold allows beauty to shine from within, and Kelly said, “That is the message I want girls to hear and take to heart.”
A Stress-Free Holiday Season … Is That Possible?
Now let’s skip ahead to December. It’s chilly and crisp during the day and the evenings are filled with cozy fires and marshmallows bobbing up and down in hot chocolate, in giant ceramic mugs. The holidays are in full effect, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or any other type of gathering. Invites to spend time with family and friends are coming in the mail. While it’s always nice to be invited, it’s often hard to know what to bring for the hosts (and it’s impolite to show up to a house empty-handed). Rafter Eleven is the perfect place to create a unique and local gift for your hosts and hostesses. There’s something for the coffee obsessed, the wine lover, the gourmet food aficionado, and the avid learner (think vouchers for our paint-and-sip and cooking classes). You can create your own gift basket or give the Rafter Eleven team a budget and a theme and they can have it ready for pickup upon arrival!
Creating the Healthy, Resilient Community We All Want: Look for Opportunities to Support Parents, Every Day
Parenting is a difficult job any time of year. During the holiday season—despite all the warm fuzzies we’re feeling—it can be even more so. We’ve started turning on the heat in the house, our children need new coats, and we’re in pursuit of that special holiday gift.
Home is Where the Candlelight Is
You probably remember the phrase, “Home is where the heart is.” Candlelight makes a house a home, doesn’t it? It bids you welcome. It heralds the beginning of the evening with a whisper. Candlelight signifies that all will be well.
‘Beauty Becomes You’
That’s why her tagline is “Beauty becomes you,” she said, because when women feel beautiful, they feel great … and radiate confidence.
The stylists at Penelope’s Permanent Cosmetics and Salon Boutique can create beautiful up ‘dos for holiday parties and events, or simply for a new look in the New Year.
Ring in the New Year!
After making the Whiskey Row New Year’s Eve Boot Drop a virtual event in 2021, planners of this year’s event — the eleventh annual — are ready to help folks mark the start of 2022 in a big way—in person. Revelers can join the celebration from 8 p.m. Friday, December 31 through 12:30 a.m. January 1 on Montezuma Street downtown. The event, which will feature “boot drops” at 10 p.m. and midnight, is free to all ages, and event promoters encourage safe celebrating at this outdoor event.
’Tis The Season of Thoughtfulness
The year is winding down, but not before major holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah and the New Year, which typically entail some sort of gifting, whether it’s a present wrapped up under the tree or a gift basket for the host who opened their home to you on a chilly winter’s night. At Rafter Eleven we believe gift giving should come from the heart and bring people together, which is why our customized gift baskets make the ideal holiday gift for just about anyone on your list.

A Grateful Heart Passes on the Joy
“A grateful heart” may seem like an odd subject for a design and build remodeling company … but we don’t think so, given that we’re entering the season where we reflect on the past year (and wasn’t this one a doozy?!) and think about our blessings. This is also a time when we take stock and look to improve our performance, both professionally and personally.
